Plastic Surgery - Head and Neck

Plastic surgeons may develop a special interest in procedures involving the head and neck. Some of the common procedures performed by these Plastic Surgeons are:

  • Rhinoplasty - Rhinoplasty, common known as a “nose job,” is the surgical alteration of the nose to make it appear more aesthetically appealing according to the desire of the patient. This is usually done on an elective basis but it can also be offered for those who sustained trauma to the face.
  • Repair of Cleft and lip palate - Cleft lip and cleft palate are congenital deformities wherein a gap is present in the upper lip or in the palate. This is treated via multiple or staged surgically procedures to help improve the appearance, speech, and feeding of the patient.
  • Blepharoplasty - Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is performed to modify the appearance of the eyelids such as drooping eyelids, eye bags, puffy eyelids or wrinkled eyelids.
